Orange Guard Fire Ant Control is an all natural food grade insecticide with the active ingredient of orange peel oil (d-Limonene 5.8%). Orange Guard Fire Ant Control is water based and all the ingredients are on the FDA GRAS list (Generally Regarded As Safe). Orange Guard Fire Ant Control is also OMRI listed (Organic Material Review Institute) as allowed for use in organic production.
Orange Guard Fire Ant Control is effective against red imported fire ants and so is registered only in states where fire ants are a problem. These states include: Hawaii, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.
TO USE:
For Fire Ant Control: Orange Guard Fire Ant Control may be diluted 3 parts water with 1 part Fire Ant without loss of efficacy. Puncture and saturate mounds. Fill the mound to the top to make sure you kill the queen. Usually about half a gallon depending on the mound. Start spraying around the edge of the mound, stand back and puncture with a 5 ft broom handle ½” in diameter to a depth of 6” to 12”. Make sure Orange Guard penetrates into the punctures in the soil. Saturate ant trails and around the base of trees and shrubs.
For Structure Protection: Spray perimeter of structure generously (full strength). Spray doorways, cracks, window frames - anywhere ants may enter. Saturate until visibly wet. In kitchens, pantries, or any infested areas spray from 8” to 12” directly on ants. Saturate, wait 3 minutes and wipe excess with damp cloth.
Very pleased - 1 soaking application and large next of Fire Ants is now 'dead'. Now that my test application, I will be spraying dozens of large and growing nests on my property. If you have Fire Ant problems, children or pets, you should try this product!
